A RETURN TO GLORY IN THE NEW ENGLAND CAMPUS MINISTRY
1 Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness (Psalm 115:1). The Celtics are the world champions of the 2007-2008 season and the slogan ‘Return to Glory’ has been the banner cry of the Boston Celtics who have won their first championship in 21 years. It has been encouraging to see the glory return to the great tradition of the Boston Celtics but even more encouraging to see the glory of our Almighty God being given in the Boston Campus Ministry. Great glory has return to God on the campuses of Boston and New England. Psalm 115 is a prayer of God’s people not wanting the glory but God to get all the glory for what has been done. God has brought a great revival on the campuses in Boston and New England as we have seen many conversions, leadership raising up, service to the poor, and great glorifying of God by the disciples of Jesus. In school year of 07-08’ thirty people have come to Christ in the downtown Boston campus ministry. In 07’ there were 4 people on staff on the campuses in New England and now since September 08’ God has raised up 14 people on staff. Two mission teams were sent out one Storrs, CT to plant University of Connecticut that has 25, 000 student population and another to the Campuses of University of Massachusetts at Lowell and Salem State College. 90 students from the New England campuses about 90% of our campus ministry traveled to serve the poor and be a part of the 1500 campus students at the International Campus Ministry Conference in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We desire to bring more glory to God this next year in New England and in Boston as we dream of having vibrant campus ministries on every major university in New England.
